Our Season Ends, the Next Begins

News Image

Dear RHC Members,

Well, that's a wrap - the 2025-2026 season is in the books.

A big thank you to all our players, parents, coaches, managers, Age Group Coordinators, and our hard working RHC Board of Directors and support teams (and of course, Cathy, our Registrar) for a great season.

A special thank you to Jason Palmer, our U15 Age Group Coordinator, who took care of ordering all the medals, pucks, and hats.  They all look great!

Now we are already preparing for next season and are looking for some new Board members.  The following summarizes where things are at:

The following positions will be available:

  • President (no one has stepped forward yet) — note that I will be staying on the Board as the "Past President" to help out so there will be help.
  • Vice President (we have someone who has volunteered!)
  • Junior Coordinator (one person has stepped forward)
  • U18 Coordinator (no one has stepped forward yet)
  • U13 Coordinator (one co-coordinator has stepped forward to help David Hunter as a co-coordinator)
  • Referee Liaison (we have someone who has volunteered!)

All Age Group Coordinator roles (Junior, U18 and U13) can have two co-coordinators so feel free to grab a friend and share the experience.

Our outgoing Board members will be available to support all new Board members acclimatize to the positions and provide training.  Position descriptions are available within our Policies document on the RHC website.

Each of these roles is vital to maintaining and enhancing the fun of each and every player. If you've ever considered getting involved, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful difference.

I encourage interested members to reach out soon — there is an opportunity to shadow current Board members before stepping in to better understand what's involved.

If you would like to put your name forward or nominate someone, please contact me or Cathy, our Registrar.

Thank you for being part of RHC and sharing your time and talents to keep the fun going.
